Equivalency/Brevet: CMAS/GDL AK Tauchsicherheit & Rettung / SSI SC-SR Stress & Rescue Diver
In the advanced course “Diving Safety & Rescue” you will be familiarised in theory and practice with preventive accident avoidance and the measures to be taken in the event of a diving accident.
In 3 dives and 2 theory lessons you will learn important skills to safely conduct deep dives up to 40m.
Prerequisites
• Completed diving training (SUBEX-Diver, CMAS/VDST 1 Star, OWD SSI/PADI)
• 30 logged dives
• Minimum age 16 years
About the course:
Aim of the course:
- The aim of the specialty is to learn how to react confidently to certain dangerous situations.
- The course participants learn how to deal with nitrogen narcosis and oxygen poisoning and how to behave correctly in the event of losing a partner and in severe currents.
- You will learn basic skills such as how to handle your own and your partner’s equipment, how to take environmental conditions into account, sign language and communication under water are adapted to deep dives and clarified once again.
- After the course, the participants will be able to carry out a rescue in a professional manner.
Course content:
- In 3 practice dives you will learn important skills for emergency situations.
- Theoretical sessions at briefing and debriefing.
Information:
- A “First Aid Course in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation CPR is required to obtain the brevet. We recommend that you complete such a course before your diving holiday.
