Learn About different ecosystems in the sea and how their inhabitants interact and live together. Food chains, symbiosis and other interesting subjects will be discussed and discovered under water.
Prerequisites
• Completed diving training (SUBEX-Diver, CMAS/VDST 1 Star, OWD SSI/PADI)
• 15 logged dives
• Minimum age 14 years
About the course:
Aim of the course:
- VDST Oceanology / SSI Marine ecology provides you with knowledge about the ecosystem coral reef with many species that live in it.
- You will receive the SSI Marine Ecology Specialty certification upon request.
Course content:
- 2 dives concentrating on marine ecology
- Theoretical unit in briefing and debriefing: oceanography, currents and coral reefs/sea ecosystem, protective coloration and mimicry, symbiosis, parasitism, food chain, environmentally conscious diving
Information:
- With just three additional specialties, your SSI Open Water Diver becomes an SSI Advanced Open Water Diver.
